Miami-Dade County is partnering with state health officials and local providers to help eligible clients of the Ryan White Part A and AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) enroll in health insurance plans through the Affordable Care Act (ACA) Health Insurance Marketplace. This initiative aims to expand healthcare coverage for individuals living with HIV/AIDS.

Clients eligible for ACA Marketplace enrollment can now access documents to guide them. With support from their Ryan White Part A Medical Case Manager, clients will complete necessary forms, as outlined in Section IX of the Service Delivery Guidelines. These meetings may occur at community health centers from Homestead to North Miami.

The ACA has increased access to private health insurance for people with HIV/AIDS. The county's coordinated effort provides clients with the support needed to understand these new coverage options and complete enrollment paperwork, ensuring continuity of care.

Additional federal resources are available from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Healthcare.gov. Ryan White Part A clients needing assistance with out-of-pocket health insurance costs should contact their Medical Case Manager.
