Todd E. Polly, 43, Valrico Resident, Remembered for Wit & Generosity

Todd E. Polly, 43, of Valrico died July 18, 2026, in Sun City Center following a battle with leukemia. Born in Syracuse, New York, Polly left an impression on many with his quick wit, generosity and ability to make people feel valued.

Polly had a passion for cars, often diagnosing engine problems by sound. He also combined engineering with craft beer, building and repairing draft beer systems. Coworkers became friends, benefiting from his willingness to teach, encourage and care for others.

Five years ago, Polly met Barbara Correa. Their relationship grew, filled with laughter, trust and simple moments like coffee over quiet mornings and trips to the dog park with their German Shepherd, Mia. Despite challenges and chronic pain from leukemia, Polly maintained his kindness, humor and support for those around him.

Polly is survived by his partner, Barbara Correa; his parents, Mark and Dawn Polly; his sister, Jill Duffy; his nieces, Brittney and Ava; his nephews, Devin, Ryan, and Izach; and his grandnephew, Dean. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. He carried the memory of his stillborn sister, Brittaney, throughout his life.

Polly will be cremated. Celebrations of Life are planned for the coming months in Syracuse, New York, and Tampa Bay, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
