Todd E. Polly, 43, Remembered in Sun City Center

Sun City Center residents mourn the loss of Todd E. Polly, 43, who passed away July 18, 2026, in Sun City Center, Florida. Polly, originally from Syracuse, New York, battled leukemia. He will be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit, and ability to make others feel valued.

His partner, Barbara Correa, said Polly shared perfectly timed movie quotes, discussed cars, enjoyed craft beer and told unforgettable stories that brought laughter. His passion for cars included diagnosing engine problems by sound. He applied engineering skills to building and repairing draft beer systems.

Polly's colleagues became lifelong friends because he shared his knowledge, offered encouragement and cared for others. He approached life with curiosity and a desire to learn.

Polly and Correa met five years ago and built a relationship filled with laughter, trust and cherished simple moments, including quiet mornings with coffee and visits to the dog park with their German Shepherd, Mia. Despite significant challenges and chronic pain from leukemia, Polly rarely showed his struggles. He continued offering kindness, humor and unwavering support.

He is survived by his partner, Barbara Correa; his parents, Mark and Dawn Polly; his sister, Jill Duffy; his nieces, Brittney and Ava; his nephews, Devin, Ryan, and Izach; his grandnephew, Dean; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and dear friends. He also carried the memory of his stillborn sister, Brittaney.

In accordance with his wishes, Polly will be cremated. Celebrations of Life are planned for the coming months in Syracuse, New York, and Tampa Bay, Florida. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Polly's legacy is one of leaving people better than he found them.
