Photo taken by Richard Chambers the evening of Feb 28, 2006 outside of Statesboro of a field burn (controlled burn) in preparation for spring planting. This field was planted with a ground cover during the winter. Photograph taken with an Olympus C-740 digital camera with some levels changing using Adobe Photoshop to provide more detail.

When this photograph was taken there were several groups of people of various ages practicing on the fields. The fields are on Fair Road near the practice fields on the edge of the Georgia Southern University campus. In the foreground is the walking path which winds around the fields and into town terminating near the corner of East Main and Savannah Avenue.
