The Illinois Department of Public Health and Cook County Department of Public Health has lifted masking orders. As a result, masks are now optional for Library visitors. Will my temperature be taken? Temperatures will not be taken, but anyone with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher should not come into the Library. Will I need to socially distance? You should strive to maintain a respectful distance between yourself and others. Can I use a computer? One-hour computer sessions are available. Sessions may be extended based on availability. Reserve And Use The PODs
The PODs are provided for individuals and for small groups of two-ten persons to work together without disturbing other library users. Reservations And Use Reservations may be made up to 1 week in advance on a first-come, first-served basis, walk-ins are welcome when the PODs are not in use or reserved. Tentative dates may be held, but cannot be confirmed until agreement has been signed. PODs are available: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM Tuesday & Thursday: 11:30 AM – 6:30 PM Saturdays: 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM (Closed last Saturday of the month and every Saturday Memorial Day-Labor Day) Use by an individual or group is limited to 2 days per week. In order to accommodate multiple users, an individual or group may use the PODs for up to 4 hours per day. The time may be extended in half-hour increments if nobody is waiting. A vacated POD is considered abandoned after 15 minutes and may be assigned to another individual or group. The PODs are not available for persons operating a business or selling merchandise or services, with the exception of: Tutors who are compensated for academic tutoring The library reserves the right to cancel a reservation. A valid Melrose Park Library card in good standing or photo identification is required at sign-in. The individual who signs for the room is responsible for appropriate use of the POD, and for ensuring that the POD is left in good condition upon vacating. General Room Use Policies Sign-In and Out Users must complete and sign POD agreement when signing –in and out. Food and Drink Only beverages with lids are allowed in the PODs. Food is not permitted. Decorations Attaching materials of any kind to the walls, floors, ceilings, or doors is not allowed. Damages Users will be liable for custodial maintenance or repairs if any damage is done to the premises, furniture, or equipment and may be denied future use of the PODs if damages occur. Banned Substances Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and the use of hazardous materials are not allowed on library property. Clean up Users are responsible for leaving the PODs as they found it. Personal Property The library is not responsible for loss or damage to the personal property of individuals or groups using any library facilities. Furniture Furniture may not be brought into or removed from the PODs. Noise level Users shall keep the noise level to a minimum and shall not disrupt other library users. If noise level disrupts other users of the library, the individuals causing the excessive noise shall be removed from the PODs. Failure to abide by POD and library conduct policies may result in denial of future use of the PODs.

Print, Copy, Scan & Fax Services
Printing: Library patrons may use credit, cash, or coins to pay for print jobs at the print release station. The price to print per page: Black/White: 10 cents | Color: 25 cents Watch this step by step video tutorial on how to print at the Library. If you have questions about how to print, please come by or call us at the Reference Desk: (708) 649-7485. Scanning: Scanning is a free service available at the Adult Services Department. Photocopying: Library patrons may only use cash to pay for photocopy jobs. The price to photocopy per page: Black/White: 10 cents | Color: 25 cents Faxing: To fax at the Library, please visit the Circulation Desk for assistance. Faxing costs $1.00 for the first page, 25 cents for each additional page.

Explore More Illinois is a free service from your library that provides instant online access to free and discounted tickets to museums, science centers, sporting events, zoos, park districts, theatres, and other fun and local cultural venues. How Do I Get A Pass? Log in with your library card credentials and browse for passes by date or attractions. If you do not know your PIN or password, or if you have problems logging into Explore More Illinois, please contact your home library. Make your reservation and print or download your pass shortly before your visit. You can have three active reservations per library card. Please cancel your reservation(s) if unable to attend, otherwise the reservation will count as being used. Remember that once you print or download your pass you cannot cancel your reservation.

You are able to place holds through the online catalog. Once you have found your desired item, click on its title to open the full record to view copy availability and location. If your desired items are checked out, click Place a Hold. You will be prompted to log into your library account to complete placing the hold. Click here for step by step instructions on how to place a hold. Renew an Item: Did you know you can renew books online? You are able to renew through the online catalog. While you are logged into your account, you can view your current checkouts and renew items. Click the box next to the item(s) you’d like to extend and click Renew. You might not be able to renew items if other patrons are waiting or if you have reached the renewal limit. If renewal is approved, a new due date will appear on the screen. You can also call us to renew an item for you. Items will automatically renew unless there is a hold on an item or you have reached your two renewal limit. If you have an email address on file you will receive an email indicating which of your checked out item automatically renewed. Click here for step by step instructions on how to renew. If you don’t know your PIN, you can click ‘Forget PIN’ and get it emailed to you. You may also reset your PIN in person at Patron’s Service Desk. Pay a Fee: The Melrose Park Library does not charge any fees for overdue materials checked out at the MPPL. A block will be placed on a patron’s card when any checked out item is more than 14 days overdue. Patrons are responsible for paying replacement and processing costs for lost or damaged items. Museum Adventure Pass
Use your Melrose Park Public Library card to receive admission or a special discount at participating Chicagoland area destinations. Museum Adventure Pass How do I get a pass? Bring your vaild Melrose Park Public Library card to the Circulation Desk. Your Melrose Park Public Library card must be in good standing. We have a limited number of passes for each participating organization, available on first-come, first-served basis. You can call ahead of time to check availability, but passes cannot be reserved or checked out online or on the phone. Passes are only printed in person with a valid Melrose Park Public Library card. Wait for an email, text, or phone call letting you know the items are ready to pick up! You can also call us to place a hold an item. If you have any questions, please call: (708) 649-7400. How do I use it? Bring your photo ID and your Melrose Park Public Library card with you. Some places require them for admittance. Passes are good for seven days from the date printed. Transportation Department - Pulaski Community School District | Transportation Skip to Main Content Home Transportation Home Transportation & Bus Routes We are always looking for quality drivers. Please click on Employment tab or click Driving Position Inquiry or email us at Transportation Office for more information. The starting hourly rate for non-CDL drivers is up to $18/hour, and the starting rate is $20 per hour or more if you have a CDL already (both dependent on experience.) Employees receive good benefits, operate district-owned buses, can bring children to work, and have paid licensing and training. The district is also in need of drivers to take athletic groups and field trips after school. To report a student not riding, please email us. Important Alternate Location Busing Information: as buses start reaching capacity limits, the District will need to deny alternate bus stop requests. Information will be posted on our website if needed. Note that GUEST RIDERS are not allowed to ride another bus (ex: riding home with a friend). School Board Policies Pertaining to Transportation: EEACC - Student Conduct on School Buses EE-ADMIN - Transportation Services District busing eligibility: Students living within the Village of Pulaski reside in a "walk zone" and are not eligible to be bused unless residing in an unusually hazardous area which is east of Hwy 32 or south of Crest Drive. Students living in the elementary attendance areas of Fairview, Hillcrest, Lannoye and Sunnyside are eligible to be transported to and from their respective school. As of May 15, 2025, all new students need to complete the NEW STUDENT TRANSPORTATION REQUEST. Clicking on the red letters above will open the form. For Daycare or split family purposes, please plan accordingly if your child requires more than ONE BUS STOP LOCATION (Guest Riders are not allowed). Access the link here to the SPECIAL REQUEST FOR ALTERNATIVE STOP form to request an alternate bus stop. Requests received after August 1 through mid September may TAKE UP TO 2 WEEKS TO PROCESS and may not be approved for the start of school. IQuery IQuery is Illinois Query, a web-based data query system for collecting and disseminating public health data. The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is the lead agency in implementing IQuery. A primary goal of IQuery is to support local health departments in their IPLAN processes by offering the most up-to-date data possible in an easy-to-access repository. Birth, Death, Other Records Skip to main content About IDPH Birth, Death, Other Records ALERT: On September 9, 2026, the Division of Vital Records’ Springfield Office located at 925 East Ridgley Avenue will permanently close. The new office will open at 110 W Lawrence Avenue on September 14, 2026. Please note the Division of Vital Records office and phone line will be closed from Wednesday September 9th until Friday September 11th. Please email [email protected] with questions or requests. Be advised that the processing time for requests is approximately 12 weeks from the time your paperwork is received. You will not receive an update from IDPH during the processing time.
