Travelers in the Eastern Alaska Range South of Trims Camp should prepare for hazardous driving conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Fairbanks has issued a Winter Weather Advisory, effective immediately until 4:00 PM AKDT on Sunday, October 11.
Snow accumulations up to 8 inches are expected by Sunday evening. Additionally, winds gusting as high as 35 mph may lead to areas of blowing snow. These conditions are anticipated to make roads, particularly bridges, slick and snow-covered.
