We invite submissions from across the geospatial and GIS community for ten minute presentations highlighting your recent geospatial-related work, project, organization, or research. This year's theme is From Risk to Recovery: GIS and Wildfire, exploring the ways GIS is helping us navigate increasing fire impacts across our region. The sessions will take place on Wednesday, Nov 18th, 2026 as a hybrid event hosted in the Idaho Student Union Building and streaming live via Zoom. Schedule of Events GIS Day @ U of I 2026 is a hybrid event taking place on November 18th in Idaho Student Union Building and live streaming via Zoom. Times are given in Pacific Time (PST). Please register to let us know how you are attending. Wednesday, Nov 18th, 2026 GIS Day will feature invited speakers, panels, and short talk sessions spread across a morning (9am - 12pm) and afternoon (1pm - 3:30pm) session, with a catered lunch in between.
