NOTICE is hereby given that the Palm Beach County Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing to consider the following Text Amendment on August 8, 2024, at 9:00 AM, in the Vista Center, Room VC-1W-47, 2300 North Jog Road, West Palm Beach, Florida. TEXT AMENDMENT: AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE, ORDINANCE 2003-067, AS AMENDED; ARTICLE 1, GENERAL PROVISIONS, SECTION 1.7, RULES, INTERPRETATIONS, AND DEFINITIONS; AMENDING DEFINITIONS FOR COMMERCIAL RECREATION, COMMERCIAL ENTERTAINMENT, AND RECREATION, OUTDOOR, COMMERCIAL; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF LAWS IN CONFLICT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE UNIFIED LAND DEVELOPMENT CODE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. (Legislative Tracking No. 2024-126) The purpose of the Text Amendment is to address inconsistencies related to Commercial Recreation and Commercial Entertainment uses under the Unified Land Development Code. ALL INTERESTED PARTIES may appear at the meeting and be heard or file written statements with the Palm Beach County Planning and Zoning Division, 2300 North Jog Road, West Palm Beach, Florida 33411, prior to the hearing. The application and related documents are on file and available for public inspection between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, in the Palm Beach County Planning and Zoning Division. IF A PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE BOARD, AGENCY OR COMMISSION WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT SUCH MEETING OR HEARING, HE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS, AND THAT, FOR SUCH PURPOSE, HE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
