Cibolo Awards $49K in EDGE Grants to 5 Businesses
The Cibolo Economic Development Corporation distributed more than $49,000 in EDGE grants to five local businesses in the program's first round, funding building improvements and equipment upgrades across the city.
The Economic Development Growth and Expansion Grant program launched July 1, 2025. It provides matching funds for projects that strengthen commercial areas. Recipients used the grants for tenant finish-outs, signage, energy-efficient HVAC systems, and façade enhancements.
Crust Pizza received funding for new signage and tenant work. Zen Bubble and Top Tier Hair & Beauty Supply secured grants for tenant improvements. Grampie's Pizzeria funded energy-saving HVAC upgrades. Puppy Kisses Pawlor received support for new signage.
"The EDGE Grant is one of our most effective tools for encouraging investment and reinvestment in our businesses," said Clancy Hardin, Economic Development Manager.
The matching grant structure requires businesses to invest their own capital alongside CEDC funds. Eligible expenses include building improvements, façade work, and equipment purchases.
Businesses interested in applying for EDGE grants can find program details and applications at cibolotx.gov/edc.
