Candle Memorial Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island has placed candle racks throughout our community mausoleums for memorialization. Candle memorials can be purchased online (see below) or at the cemetery office. Different candle options are available depending on the cemetery and mausoleum building. Crypt Niche Floral Renewals – Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island Crypt Niche Floral Renewals Crypt and Niche Floral Renewal Program We recently announced some beneficial changes and enhancements to our crypt and niche floral program: In responding to families’ requests for longer duration program offerings, we are now offering program participation from one year up to five years. Now you can choose the length of time you would like to lock in for your family at current prices. Our annual enrollment period now runs from September 1st through August 31st of the following year. To renew your floral vase online, please click on the button below. Floral Vase Renewals – Expiring February 28, 2026 or August 31, 2026 The following expiration dates will apply for floral vase renewals: 1 Year renewal: August 31, 2027 2 Year renewal: August 31, 2028 3 Year renewal: August 31, 2029 4 Year renewal: August 31, 2030 5 Year renewal: August 31, 2031 Please note: If your floral vase was originally set to expire on February 28, 2026, in order to move you to the new annual cycle, we will extend a 1 year renewal to August 31, 2027 in appreciation of your continuous participation in the program. Similarly, a 2, 3, 4 or 5 year renewal will be extended through the dates listed above. This one-time six-month extension at no additional cost to you is only for a limited time. Crypt or Niche Floral Renewal Orders - 2026 Expiration Date Additional Notes & Program Reminders New customers wishing to participate in the floral vase program should click here. Although we all wish to see the new floral arrangements completed on the first day of the season, the cemetery reserves the right to take up to fourteen (14) days at the start of each season to fully change floral arrangements throughout all the cemetery mausoleums. We ask for your patience during this time. All floral arrangements will be selected by Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island. The cemetery reserves the right to substitute a floral piece of similar style due to stock shortage, discontinued product, or the unavailability of floral supplies. The selection will reflect the seasonal changes throughout the year. Any floral arrangement that the family may wish to keep should be picked up two (2) days prior to the season ending date.

Cremation Space Options – Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island Cremation Space Options The Catholic Church teaches that cremated remains must be given the same respect as the body, including the manner in which they are carried, and the attention given to their appropriate transport and placement. The cremated remains of a body are to be buried or entombed, preferably in a Catholic cemetery, using the rites provided by the Order of Christian Funerals. In addition to the Church’s teaching, there are many benefits to choosing a permanent burial site for cremated remains: Provides a special and appropriate place for families and friends to visit and remember their loved one. Memorialization at the cemetery provides a permanent record of your loved one’s life. Cemeteries will always be there, open to visitations by all for generations to come. Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island offers families a variety of burial options to best meet your family’s needs: Cremation Niches in Community Mausoleums Niches can accommodate up to two urns, with availability in indoor and garden settings. Granite and/or marble front niches are available at all cemeteries. Glass front niches are available at Holy Rood and Holy Sepulchre Cremation Niches in Outdoor Columbaria Niches in our new outdoor “Garden of Angels” areas at Holy Rood, Holy Sepulchre & Queen of All Saints. Allows for memorialization and visitation in a serene, natural setting. Granite front niches accommodate up to two urns. Traditional Burial Plots Single graves can accommodate three urns and up to three caskets in the same plot. This option allows families to be buried together when not all family members wish to be cremated. Cremation Graves Accommodate six urns in a plot, with upright monuments for memorialization. Cremation Graves available at Holy Rood, Holy Sepulchre & Queen of All Saints. Rules and Regulations
Rules and Regulations Cemetery Decoration Cleanups (Graves)* Please see below for details on the cemetery cleanup schedule. Please keep in mind that separate from scheduled cleanups, violations may be removed at any time without notice, especially if the items are a safety hazard or they interfere with cemetery work. With the Spring thaw, generally comes milder temperatures and dry weather (ideally dry soil conditions), this presents the opportunity for preseeding clean up. Therefore, the cemetery may frequently enforce rules and regulations to prepare the grounds for a Spring Season’s work of soil aeration, fertilization, topsoil placement and/or seed work. The weather conditions dictate when the work is scheduled. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following the cemetery rules and regulations. * Please note that this information and cleanup schedule applies to gravesites. Decorations are not permitted to be placed in mausoleums at any time. Items should not be attached to crypt/niche covers or placed in front of crypts/niches. Floral stands in the mausoleums are intended for floral bouquets ONLY. Upcoming Cleanup Dates July 13, 2026 (Independence Day) November 9, 2026 (All Saints Day/All Hallows’ Eve) December 1, 2026 (Thanksgiving) January 15, 2027 (Christmas) Cleanup Notes: Cleanups are scheduled to begin on the above dates, but may be delayed due to weather conditions or other field priorities at the time. In addition to removing all holiday decorations, any items not permitted per the cemetery’s rules and regulations are subject to removal. As a reminder, the only items permitted on graves all year round are flowers, flags and flush in-ground bouquet holders as specified in the cemetery regulations. No other items are permitted and may be removed and discarded at any time; this includes but is not limited to statues, plaques, rocks, pictures/photographs, solar lights, edging/borders, and bric-a-brac. Due to the volume of items being removed during cemetery cleanups, it is not possible to make arrangements to have families claim items once they have been removed. Families are requested to remove any placed items prior to the scheduled cleanups. We kindly ask that families refrain from placing any prohibited items back on graves after the cleanup is completed. Please keep in mind that separate from scheduled cleanups, violations may be removed at any time without notice, especially if the items are a safety hazard or they interfere with cemetery work. The cemetery reserves the right to remove and dispose of any decoration or planting when deemed as unsightly, in poor condition, or out of season. No placed item, whether floral or otherwise, is considered permanent to the site. The cemetery may remove items at any time without notice or compensation, and the cemetery is not responsible for any damaged or missing items. There are three distinct groups that must be considered in the exercise of the Corporal Work of Mercy known as the Burial of the Dead. Those who are buried, entombed, or inurned in our cemeteries are the first group. The second group consists of the survivors and visitors to Catholic Cemeteries. The third group that must be considered includes the Catholic Church itself, its rituals, disciplines and procedures, cemetery management and all cemetery support staff. Rules and Regulations play an important part in the beautification and preservation of the sacred resting place of the faithful departed. These rules are intended not as restraining, but rather as defining an orderly plan of operation, care and permanent maintenance. They are meant to help sanctify the living memories of those buried within the cemeteries and to create an environment that awakens faith and brings consolation. The enforcement of the rules will assist in protecting the cemeteries, by creating and preserving their beauty, and ensuring that the interests of all concerned parties are equally addressed.

Shrub & Bush Maintenance Catholic Cemeteries feels strongly that a well maintained, balanced shrub or bush adds to the overall beauty of a family lot. Unattended shrubs and bushes require severe pruning which to conform with regulations. whereas constant and consistent maintenance can result in a beautifully shaped, balanced, and complimentary plant fitting. Regular trimming maintenance goes hand in hand with a routine visual inspection for good plant health. With regular maintenance throughout the growing season, early detection of growth-related problems are possible. To request a shrub or bush maintenance, please complete the Maintenance Request Form with your information, and a cemetery representative will get back to you. Services This is a brief overview of the options available at the Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island. Our staff is always available to assist you and help you decide what is best for your family. If you’d like to learn more about your choices, please call the cemetery office for more information. Traditional Burial Options Available at our four cemeteries in either monument lots or shrine graves. Monument lots (both single grave and larger sized plots) allow one upright monument to be installed on the lot. Shrine sections generally have a central shrine or feature and each grave is memorialized by a lawn-level bronze marker. Lawn Crypts Provide burial space for two in a pre-installed, double depth concrete chamber. Lawn crypts allow a family to provide for the majority of their cemetery needs at an affordable package price: burial space and outer container. Lawn crypt lots allow for either an upright monument or lawn-level bronze memorial with vase, depending on burial section. Lawn Crypts are available at Queen of All Saints Cemetery and Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Entombments in Community Mausoleums Offer a number of options to meet the preferences and budgets of those families that prefer above ground entombment. The price of a mausoleum crypt can compare favorably with the total cost of ground burial. Crypt spaces are available in our community mausoleums in both indoor and garden settings. Family Heritage Lots Can accommodate either a private family mausoleum or in-ground burial spaces. Custom landscaping and distinctive memorialization is available on these estate lots. Cremation Urn Niches Are specially designed for families choosing cremation. Our cemeteries offer a variety of cremation niche space for inurnment at our community mausoleums in both indoor and garden settings. Cremation niches are also available in outdoor columbaria at Cemetery of the Holy Rood, Queen of All Saints Cemetery and Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Please access the cemetery via our Jericho Turnpike entrance, which is centrally located between Powells Lane and Hitchcock Lane. Queen of Peace Cemetery Brochure Video – Queen of Peace Cemetery Overview Queen of Peace is located in Old Westbury, just 2 miles north of Cemetery of the Holy Rood. The grounds in the initial burial section – Section 1 – were blessed by Bishop John O. Barres on Monday, May 4th, 2020. The Bishop’s blessing designated this section as “Sacred ground” and therefore appropriate for Catholic burials. Phase 1 of development – which included the construction of our Chapel, Administration Building, Mausoleums, and our Maintenance Building – was completed in 2023. At this time, the following spaces are available for both at-need and pre-need purchases: Graves Single Grave plots can accommodate up to 3 caskets and 3 urns with cremated remains. Double Grave plots can accommodate up to 6 caskets and 6 urns with cremated remains. Larger family plots are also available: Three Grave plots can accommodate up to 9 caskets and 9 urns. Four Grave plots can accommodate up to 12 caskets and 12 urns. Six Grave plots can accommodate up to 18 caskets and 18 urns. Crypts & Niches Ten mausoleum buildings surround our beautiful Chapel. These garden mausoleums, named for Saint Pope John Paul II, Our Lady of Guadalupe, Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Knock and Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, are comprised of several different crypt and niche space options to best meet your family’s needs: Crypts Single Crypts for one casket True Companion Crypts for two caskets Side by Side Crypts for two caskets Niches Standard Niche spaces for up to two urns Family Niche spaces for up to four urns Please note that appointments are required for all sales at Queen of Peace. Holiday Decoration Program
Holiday Decoration Program – Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island Holiday Decoration Program Thank you to everyone who participated in our holiday decoration program for 2025-2026. Please check back in October 2026 to order decorations for Christmas 2026, Easter 2027, Mother’s Day 2027, and Father’s Day 2027. Grave Decorations For those families who have gravesites, you may purchase the following for placement on individual graves: Evergreen blanket or pillow for Christmas Palm cross for Easter Seasonal potted plant for Mother’s Day Seasonal potted plant for Father’s Day Chapel Decorations Each year, Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island decorates the chapels in our mausoleums with the following: Poinsettias for Christmas Lilies for Easter Potted plants for Mother’s Day Potted plants for Father’s Day All families, especially those who have entombments and inurnments in our mausoleums, are invited to purchase a plant in memory of a loved one. The name of the deceased will be listed in a memorial book placed in each of the chapels.

Along with St. Vincent De Paul charitable burials that Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island performs at all locations, Holy Sepulchre is home to a special area dedicated to Emily’s Gift. Emily’s Gift is a special bereavement program offered by St. Charles Hospital for families suffering an early pregnancy loss. Working with St Charles Hospital, Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island dedicated a section specifically for the burial of stillborn, aborted and miscarried babies. In keeping with honoring the sacred nature of each human spirit, Queen of All Saints features a special Rachel Weeping is a burial section for stillborn, aborted and miscarried babies. These burials are completed in coordination with Good Samaritan Hospital. Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island also works with St. Vincent de Paul to perform burials for the indigent within Queen of All Saints. These examples differentiate Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island and exemplify our Catholic Mission as we serve with our Corporal Work of Mercy. Crypt Niche Floral Program
Crypt Niche Floral Program – Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island Crypt Niche Floral Program Join Our Crypt & Niche Floral Vase Program Catholic Cemeteries will supply and install an artificial floral arrangement in a mausoleum vase for an individual crypt or niche front where permitted.* New orders are charged a one-time fee for the use of the bronze mausoleum vase: Niche Front Vase $120.00 Crypt Front Vase $260.00 This fee includes installation and maintenance of the vase. The Crypt and Niche Vase Use and Floral Agreement includes all information on the program and should be reviewed before placing a new order. New floral vase orders must be placed in at the cemetery office. Cremation Services – Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island Cremation Services Cremation Committal Services at Catholic Cemeteries: For in-ground burials, urns should not exceed 12 ½ ” x 6 ” x 7 ½” in order to fit our cemetery urn vault. For cremation niches, maximum urn size will vary based on niche type and location. Please review the printed rules and regulations for size requirements. Note: Glass front cremation niches have additional regulations concerning the overall characteristics of urn type, composition, inscription, epitaphs, etc. Please review with a cemetery representative prior to purchasing an urn for a glass front niche. Families should appoint one member as a spokesperson to contact the cemetery office to make arrangements. Please contact the cemetery one to two weeks before the intended burial date. Cremated remains should NEVER be mailed to the cemetery office. Families completing arrangements without a funeral director are REQUIRED TO PRESENT IN PERSON OR VIA FAX/EMAIL all documents to the cemetery office at least one week before the committal service. The oldest part of Holy Rood was originally the burial grounds of Saint Brigid’s Cemetery, which was founded in 1856. Initially established by the Diocese of Brooklyn, Holy Rood was transferred to the Diocese of Rockville Centre when the Diocese was established in 1956. Cemetery of the Holy Rood offers a variety of burial options in indoor and outdoor settings. Holy Rood has an ample inventory of entombment crypts and cremation niches in Holy Rood Chapel Mausoleum for families to consider. In addition, Holy Rood has a limited number of gravesites available for those interested in traditional in-ground burials. Along with St. Vincent De Paul charitable burials that Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island performs at all locations, Holy Rood is home to the Island of Hope. Tim Jaccard and his Children of Hope Foundation provide a hero’s funeral to babies that have been abandoned, with burials taking place in this Island of Hope. The cremated remains of a body are to be buried or entombed, preferably in a Catholic cemetery, using the rites provided by the Order of Christian Funerals. In addition to the Church’s teaching, there are many benefits to choosing a permanent burial site for cremated remains: Provides a special and appropriate place for families and friends to visit and remember their loved one. Memorialization at the cemetery provides a permanent record of your loved one’s life. Cemeteries will always be there, open to visitations by all for generations to come. Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island offers families a variety of burial options to best meet your family’s needs: Cremation Niches in Community Mausoleums Niches can accommodate up to two urns, with availability in indoor and garden settings. Granite and/or marble front niches are available at all cemeteries. Glass front niches are available at Holy Rood and Holy Sepulchre Cremation Niches in Outdoor Columbaria Niches in our new outdoor “Garden of Angels” areas at Holy Rood, Holy Sepulchre & Queen of All Saints.
