Heat Advisory Issued for SLO and Santa Barbara Beaches: Stay Hydrated

A Heat Advisory has been issued for San Luis Obispo County Beaches and Santa Barbara County Central Coast Beaches. The National Weather Service (NWS) Los Angeles/Oxnard CA reports that temperatures between 80 and 95 degrees are expected. This advisory is in effect from 10 AM PDT on Wednesday, October 7th, until 8 PM PDT on Thursday, October 8th.

These hot temperatures carry a risk of heat illnesses. Residents and visitors in the affected areas are urged to take precautions to protect themselves and others.

The NWS advises the public to drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, and stay out of the sun during peak heat hours. Additionally, it is important to check up on relatives and neighbors, especially those who may be more vulnerable to heat-related conditions.
