Midvale City Council Adopts 2026-2027 Budget by June 30

Staff Writer
June 12, 2026

Midvale City Manager and department heads began budget discussions in January to fund police, water, sewer, roads, parks, sanitation and other services for the city's 36,000 residents.

The Mayor and City Council set priorities in March. The tentative budget went online for public review, and the council will make final decisions in May and June, with adoption required by June 30 unless property tax changes are planned.

The City Council holds public meetings on the budget starting in March. A public hearing precedes final adoption, with budget plans posted online 10 days before the hearing and the meeting advertised seven days in advance.

Residents can submit comments at public meetings or contact their council member. Budget amendments announced throughout the year also go before the council with time for public comment. More information is available at EngageMidvale.com/2026-2027-budget.
