Rockville Reminds Residents of Refuse and Recycling Regulations

Rockville residents, from neighborhoods like Twinbrook to the historic district, are reminded that refuse and recycling collection occurs every Tuesday. To ensure timely pickup and compliance with local regulations, all items designated for collection must be placed at the curb no earlier than 6:00 p.m. on Mondays.

For refuse collection, residents should place items in tightly sealed plastic bags. Recyclables, on the other hand, require placement in designated recycling bins. For yard waste, biodegradable paper bags are required, or items can be bundled and tied. It is important to note that branches must be less than three feet long and no more than three inches in diameter. The Village of Rockville does not collect grass clippings.

Adhering to these guidelines helps maintain the efficiency of waste management services and keeps our community clean, preserving the charm of Rockville's landmarks.
