James Douglas “Doug” Farmer, Jr., age 61, of LaFayette, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2026.He was preceded in death by his mother, Wanda Farmer.Doug is survived by his wife, Lisa Farmer; daughter, Alyssa (Joey Hentz) Farmer; sons, JD (Kerri) Farmer and Tyler (Sydney) Farmer; grandchildren, McKenzie, Emily, Daniel, Maelyn, Ryleigh, Delila, Andy, and Maggie; father, Doug Farmer, Sr.; sister, Cherri (Bryce) Parrish; brothers, Tommy Farmer, Billy Joe (Dominique) Farmer, and Donny (Kaki) Farmer; and several nieces and nephews.A funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 31, in the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel with his father, Pastor Doug Farmer, Sr., officiating.Family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 pm until the hour of service at the funeral home.Arrangements are by Wallis-Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
