Gulfport Library Boosts Digital Learning Resources

Gulfport Library has expanded its digital resources, offering new tools for computer skills, language learning, genealogy and U.S. citizenship preparation.

Gulfport Library now offers residents expanded digital resources for learning and research. The library has improved its educational databases, adding tools for computer skills, new languages and genealogical research.

Digital Learn, an online hub, provides digital literacy support. It offers instruction on computer use, internet navigation and mobile phone operation for those new to technology.

For family history research, Ancestry Library Edition is now available for in-library use.

The library also provides access to the Florida Electronic Library. This resource offers curated internet materials including electronic magazines, newspapers, almanacs, encyclopedias and books on current events, education, business, technology and health.

Pronunciator, an online system, supports the study of more than 100 languages. It includes English as a Second Language (ESL) courses for speakers of 50 non-English languages.

The ProCitizen program offers resources for individuals preparing for U.S. citizenship. The program provides courses covering the civics, reading and writing portions of the naturalization test.
