The University of South Florida has named Christian Hardigree as the regional chancellor for its St. Petersburg campus. She began the role on July 1, 2022.

Hardigree brings more than 20 years of higher education leadership experience to the role. Her previous leadership roles include dean of the School of Hospitality at Metropolitan State University of Denver and founding dean of the College of Hospitality, Retail and Sport Management at the University of South Carolina.

USF President Rhea Law expressed confidence in Hardigree. "Dr. Hardigree has a proven track record of success in higher education leadership and a deep commitment to the St. Petersburg campus and the surrounding community," Law said. "I am confident she will provide the vision and leadership necessary to continue the campus’s positive momentum."

As regional chancellor, Hardigree will oversee the campus's academic, financial, and administrative operations. She will focus on strengthening the campus's ties with the St. Petersburg community and its business partners.
