Black History Month Book Project Celebrating Legends of Apopka in Honor of Black History Month Event Was held on February 19, 2026 from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Apopka Community Center View the photos from this event. “We are thrilled to celebrate the release of the fourth edition of the Legends of Apopka book and to recognize 28 individuals whose stories have helped shape our community,” Nelson said. “We are thankful for the dedication of our Apopka Youth Council and Ms. Francina Boykin in honoring the legends of our city.” Volume 4 Celebrating Legends of Apopka in Honor of Black History Month Book 2026 The City of Apopka and Apopka Youth Council honor twenty-eight legends that have paved the way for so many in our community.
