Safety Harbor Structure Fire: What We Know So Far

The only directly relevant fire report found involved a separate structure fire in Bradenton at 116 53rd Ave. W., where Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue said there was possible entrapment, according to the agency. Firefighters used multiple hose lines and carried out a search-and-rescue operation before extinguishing the blaze, according to Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue.

In that Bradenton fire, officials said a female victim found outside suffered burns to her face and arms and was treated on scene before being transported to Blake Hospital, according to Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue. A second victim was found dead inside the home, officials said.

Officials later determined the Bradenton fire was unintentional, according to Cedar Hammock Fire Rescue. The case was investigated by Cedar Hammock Fire Prevention, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office and the Bureau of Fire, Arson and Explosives Investigations, according to the agencies.

Dispatch records show 20,383 similar structure-fire incidents in the area over the past six months, but no prior confirmed incident at the Philippe Pkwy address was identified in the available reporting.

At this point, no official update has confirmed whether investigators are looking at the Safety Harbor fire, and no timeline has been released for additional information.
