SAINT CLOUD – Residents on Holden Drive no longer need to boil their water, as the precautionary boil water advisory issued by Toho Water Authority has been lifted. The advisory was put in place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, following a water line break.
The water line break was attributed to lightning. Toho Water Authority had expected service to be restored by midnight on September 10. As a precautionary measure, customers in the affected area were advised to boil water for one minute before consumption, including for drinking, cooking, making ice, and brushing teeth. Filtered water also required boiling, and bottled water was recommended as an alternative. Water for laundry and bathing did not need to be boiled.
To ensure water safety, Toho Water Authority conducted regulatory testing for a minimum of two days after service was restored. An update on the advisory status was expected by Sunday, September 13.
