Staff Writer
June 11, 2026

Saint Charles officials released their first quarter 2026 report, announcing a Veterans Liaison position and a new Veteran Recognition Program to honor military service members in the community.

The city created the DRIVE Task Force to improve regional access to Highway 364 and Interstate 64, targeting long-term growth and connectivity.

The Board of Aldermen will vote April 22 on a new City Administrator, who will start May 27. The board processed 16 pieces of legislation in the quarter and began updating the City Code.

City technology improvements included website updates, expanded online permitting and payment systems, and new staff tools. The youth baseball program expanded to 36 teams this season.

Saint Charles will host Kids Fishing Day on May 30 at Barathaven Lake and an Independence Day celebration July 4.
