(Dublin, Ohio) — The City of Dublin is excited to announce this year’s headliner for its Independence Day Celebration on Saturday, July 4, at Dublin Coffman Stadium. This annual event brings the community together for a day full of parades, music, food, family fun and a spectacular fireworks display.Taking the stage this year will be The Wallflowers, the Grammy Award–winning rock band led by chief songwriter Jakob Dylan. Known for their roots-driven sound and enduring presence in American rock music, The Wallflowers rose to prominence with their 1996 breakthrough album Bringing Down the Horse, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and earned quadruple-platinum certification. This summer marks the 30th anniversary of Bringing Down the Horse. Fans can expect to hear some of the band’s most recognizable hits, including “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache,” “The Difference” and “Three Marlenas” — songs that helped define the sound of ‘90s rock and earned multiple Grammy nominations and awards. For more than three decades, The Wallflowers have shared the stage with legendary acts and continued to connect with new audiences through touring, film soundtracks and collaborations across the music industry. Their performance at Dublin’s Independence Day Celebration promises a memorable night of timeless rock leading into the City’s spectacular fireworks show.Opening the evening celebration is rising country artist Adam Sanders, recently named a 2026 Artist to Watch by American Songwriter. Fresh off winning The Road alongside mentors Keith Urban and Blake Shelton, Sanders brings a high-energy performance style backed by chart-topping songwriting credits, including the #1 hits “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” for Cole Swindell and “Hell of a Night” for Dustin Lynch. With more than 215 million global streams and a growing national following, Sanders will set the stage for an unforgettable night of music in Dublin.Beyond the music, the Independence Day Celebration is a day-long event that starts with a fishing derby, then a parade, ending with a concert and fireworks show.Independence Day Schedule8 a.m.Sherm Sheldon Fishing DerbyAvery Park Pond (corner of Wynford Drive and Avery Road)11 a.m.Independence Day Parade sponsored by The Ohio State University Wexner Medical CenterMetro Center to Historic Dublin4:30 p.m.Evening CelebrationDublin Coffman High School9:50 p.m.FireworksDublin Coffman High SchoolReserved Table SalesDublin residents only may purchase two tables per household on the stadium field.
