VERNON, Ind. – A 67-year-old woman faces charges after allegedly performing 'donuts' in her car on the Jennings County Courthouse lawn Monday.

The Jennings County Sheriff's Office posted video footage showing the silver sedan circling the lawn, kicking up dirt and narrowly missing a tree, light post and brick bench. The vehicle also struck a sign.

Lorraine Phyllis Wilkerson was identified as the driver. Court records show she was charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 or more.

The sheriff's office reminded residents via social media to drive responsibly and arrange for a safe ride home if drinking.
