Riverview families with young children should check their toy collections for a recently recalled item. Esjay recalled 276,000 Esjay Toddler Busy Board Montessori Toys due to a choking hazard. Red knobs on the toys can detach, posing a significant risk to children.

This recall directly impacts local households who purchased these popular educational toys. The Consumer Product Safety Commission issued the recall, emphasizing the potential for serious injury if the small knobs come loose. Parents should immediately remove these toys from children to prevent any incidents.

The recalled toys feature blue felt, carrying handles, elastic cords, and button closures. They also include various cartoon dinosaurs and 26 small squares designed to correspond to letters of the alphabet. The problematic red knobs appear on the second page of the five-page book.

Esjay sold these toys on Amazon between March 2023 and July 2026, with prices ranging from $18 to $30. Consumers who own one of these recalled toys must contact Esjay for repair instructions. The process involves unzipping the page with the red knobs, writing “RECALLED” on both sides, and then disposing of it. Consumers must then photograph the disposed page and email it to Esjay to receive a replacement.
