Elizabeth Holmes Trailer: Innocence Claims Highlighted

A new documentary trailer featuring Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, convicted of fraud, offers glimpses into her family life and her continued assertions of innocence. The film, titled You Can See Everything, includes interviews with Holmes and her partner, Billy Evans, and is scheduled for release in theaters on October 16.

In the trailer, filmmaker Nathan Fielder asks Holmes if she believes she did nothing wrong. "I did not," she replies. When asked where things went awry, Holmes states, "I wish I knew. I don't know. I don't feel like I understand that." Holmes filmed the documentary in 2023, before reporting to prison.

Holmes was found guilty in January 2022 on four counts of fraud related to investor funds in Theranos, a Silicon Valley blood-testing startup. A judge sentenced her to over 11 years in prison. The documentary's synopsis indicates it was filmed 34 days before she began her prison sentence, describing it as an "intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon" that evolves into a "mind-bending three-year journey into the abyss."

The trailer also shows Fielder living with Holmes, Evans, and their children. When asked if she worried about a filmmaker living with them constantly, Holmes responded, "I don't think so." She added, "I think this is the moment in time to capture this story before I'm gone." Evans also appears in the trailer, denying any suspicion that Holmes has lied to him. In a final scene, Holmes tells Fielder, "I don't have anything to hide."

Holmes' X account shared a clip from the documentary on September 6, announcing the film's release. "I’m always being real," the caption read. Lance Oppenheim co-directed the film with Fielder.
