A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Coachella Valley, with gusts up to 45 mph expected from Sunday morning until Monday morning, potentially causing power outages and difficult driving conditions.
Residents in the Coachella Valley should prepare for gusty winds beginning early Sunday morning. The National Weather Service (NWS) San Diego has issued a Wind Advisory, effective from 2:00 AM PDT on Sunday, October 11, until 5:00 AM PDT on Monday, October 12.
According to the NWS, southeast winds tonight will transition to west winds ranging from 10 to 20 mph, with gusts potentially reaching 35 to 45 mph. These conditions are expected to impact the entire Coachella Valley.
The NWS warns that gusty winds can blow around unsecured objects. There is also a risk of tree limbs being blown down, and a few power outages may occur. Driving conditions could become difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles.
Drivers are advised to use extra caution when traveling during this period. Secure any outdoor items that could be displaced by strong winds.
