A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for Perry County, including Beaumont, New Augusta, and Richton, by the National Weather Service (NWS) Mobile AL, effective immediately as of October 9 at 10:13 PM CDT. The warning is set to expire on October 10 at 6:15 AM UTC.
Residents should prepare for wind gusts up to 40 mph, although sustained winds are expected to remain below tropical storm force (39 mph). While significant wind impacts are not anticipated, local officials are currently assessing any realized impacts.
