BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Walmart Inc., the Bentonville-based retail behemoth, has launched a major expansion of its distribution center at 5801 S.W. Regional Airport Blvd., aiming to supercharge logistics in Northwest Arkansas. The project, building on the existing 1.2 million-square-foot facility that serves up to 1,000 U.S. stores, targets increased capacity for Midwest operations, according to company spokeswoman Anne Hatfield.
