Toddler Safely Recovered After Brief Disappearance in Miami-Dade
A two-year-old boy, whose name has not been released by authorities, was safely recovered yesterday evening after a brief but anxious search in a residential area of Miami-Dade County. The incident, which prompted a swift response from local law enforcement, concluded without harm to the child.
The toddler was reported missing from a home in the Richmond West neighborhood near the intersection of SW 104th Street and SW 152nd Avenue around 6:30 PM. Miami-Dade Police Department officers, along with concerned neighbors, immediately began a search of the immediate vicinity. The child was found approximately 45 minutes later, unharmed, a few blocks away near a small park on SW 102nd Street.
Details surrounding how the child left the residence were not immediately available. Authorities confirmed that the toddler was reunited with his family shortly after being located. The Miami-Dade Police Department reminds residents to ensure all entry points to homes are secure, especially when young children are present, and to report any missing person incidents immediately.
