National Desk
May 14, 2026
MIAMI — Miami Fire Rescue crews rushed three people to area hospitals after a three-car crash in the Flagami neighborhood early Friday morning. The incident occurred at Northwest 7th Street and Northwest 30th Place, a busy intersection near local businesses and residential areas. According to Miami Fire Rescue reports, a 79-year-old man was listed in critical condition, a 35-year-old man in stable condition, and a 31-year-old man also hospitalized. First responders arrived shortly after the collision, which happened around 5 a.m., and transported all three victims for treatment. Video footage from the scene shows the wreckage blocking lanes, with emergency lights illuminating the area as crews worked. Northwest 7th Street remained closed for several hours, impacting morning commuters in Flagami, a neighborhood known for its proximity to Tamiami Trail and Le Jeune Road. Miami Fire Rescue spokesperson Pete Sanchez confirmed the details in statements to local media, emphasizing the rapid response that prevented further injuries. No information on causes or potential citations has been released by Miami Police, who are investigating. Flagami residents are advised to expect possible ongoing investigations at the intersection. This crash adds to recent traffic incidents in the area, including a separate SUV collision into a car wash at the Shell station on Le Jeune Road and Northwest 7th Street the same morning, though no injuries were reported there.
