The peculiar occurrences, which began appearing last Monday, April 1, have involved the strategic placement of oversized, handlebar-style mustaches on various public statues and prominent local landmarks.

The first reported incident involved the bronze statue of Addison Mizner on glamorous Worth Avenue in Palm Beach, which was found sporting a meticulously crafted, albeit temporary, black mustache.
