Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Madison Counties

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for parts of Clinton, Fayette, Greene, and Madison Counties until 9:15 PM EDT tonight, September 20. Residents in the affected areas should immediately move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building for protection.

The National Weather Service in Wilmington, OH, issued the warning at 9:00 PM EDT. At that time, a severe thunderstorm was located near Jeffersonville, moving east at 35 mph. The primary hazard is 60 mph wind gusts, which are radar-indicated. The NWS warns to expect damage to trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include Washington Court House, Sabina, Jamestown, Jeffersonville, Bloomingburg, Wilberforce, New Jasper, Staunton, Good Hope, Bowersville, Port William, Milledgeville, Octa, Paintersville, Melvin, Interstate 71 at State Route 38, Rosemoor, Lumberton, Madison Mills, and Rock Mills. This also includes I-71 in Ohio between mile markers 49 and 78.
