Port Everglades Welcomes New ONE FLX Service for South American Imports
Fort Lauderdale residents can anticipate a fresh influx of South American produce and seafood, thanks to a new shipping service docking at Port Everglades. Ocean Network Express Pte. Ltd. (ONE) has officially selected Broward County's Port Everglades as the U.S. port of call for its newly launched FLX service.
This new service is set to transport refrigerated fruits, vegetables, and seafood directly from farms across South America to tables throughout South Florida. The announcement, made on August 31, 2023, marks a significant development for local consumers and businesses relying on international imports for fresh goods.
The FLX service is expected to streamline the supply chain for these perishable items, potentially leading to fresher products and more efficient delivery to local markets and restaurants along vibrant Las Olas Boulevard and the beachfront areas of Fort Lauderdale. Port Everglades continues to solidify its role as a critical hub for international trade, directly impacting the availability and variety of goods for the Fort Lauderdale community.
