Palm Bay Drug Dealers Sentenced to Federal Prison for Fentanyl Conspiracy

ORLANDO, FL – Two Palm Bay men, Eric William Garvin, 29, and Anthony Lee Khan, 40, have been sentenced to federal prison for their roles in a fentanyl distribution conspiracy that impacted communities across Brevard County, including Cocoa.

U.S. District Judge Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe handed down the sentences, with Garvin receiving 17 years and 6 months, and Khan sentenced to 14 years and 8 months. The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe.

According to court documents, the conspiracy unfolded between August and September 2025. During this period, Anthony Lee Khan sold an ounce of fentanyl to a confidential source on three separate occasions. Investigations revealed that Eric William Garvin was the supplier for Khan in each of these transactions.

The case escalated following the execution of search warrants at both Garvin’s and Khan’s residences in Palm Bay. These searches yielded a significant haul of illicit substances, including over 900 grams of cocaine, more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, and over 350 grams of fentanyl. The presence of such large quantities of these dangerous drugs underscores the serious threat they posed to public safety in our local communities.

This successful prosecution is the result of a collaborative investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies dedicated to combating drug trafficking in our area. The Drug Enforcement Administration, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Palm Bay Police Department, and the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office all played crucial roles in bringing these individuals to justice. Assistant United States Attorney Megan Testerman prosecuted the case.

While the immediate impact of these drug operations was centered in Palm Bay, the flow of such substantial amounts of fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine has a ripple effect, potentially reaching neighborhoods and families throughout Brevard County, including the historic Cocoa Village and surrounding areas in our own community here in Cocoa. The lengthy prison sentences for Garvin and Khan send a clear message that federal authorities, in conjunction with local law enforcement, are committed to disrupting the distribution networks that bring these harmful substances into our towns.

Residents concerned about drug activity in their neighborhoods are encouraged to report suspicious behavior to local law enforcement. For non-emergencies, the Brevard County Sheriff's Office can be reached at (321) 633-7162.
