Meagan Nations Named City Clerk and HR Director for Pickens, Starting June 2026

PICKENS – The City of Pickens, county seat of Pickens County, is set to welcome Meagan Nations as its new City Clerk / Human Resources Director, with her tenure beginning on June 15, 2026.

A lifelong resident of Pickens County, Nations brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to public service within the community. She previously served for eight years as Clerk to Council for Pickens County Council, where she gained extensive experience in local government operations and administrative leadership.

Nations further solidified her professional qualifications by earning a Master of Business Administration from Anderson University, a key institution in the Upstate, in 2024. This academic achievement underscores her dedication to excellence and her continued service to the public.

In her new role, Nations expressed her eagerness to continue serving the citizens of Pickens and to support the city's dedicated employees. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, actively participating in her church community, and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.
