Mark Wygonik Exhibit Opens at Vero Beach Museum of Art

Vero Beach residents will have a new opportunity to engage with local art as the Vero Beach Museum of Art prepares to open its latest exhibition, featuring the works of renowned artist Mark Wygonik. The exhibit, titled "Mark Wygonik: A Retrospective," is set to debut on Friday, April 18, 2026, offering a comprehensive look at Wygonik's distinctive style and contributions to the art world.

Wygonik, a long-time resident of Indian River County, is celebrated for his vibrant use of color and his ability to capture the unique light and landscapes of Florida. His pieces often reflect the natural beauty of our coastal environment, from the serene beaches of Vero Beach to the lush local flora and fauna. This retrospective will showcase a diverse collection of his paintings, drawings, and mixed-media works, spanning several decades of his prolific career.

The Vero Beach Museum of Art, situated in the scenic Riverside Park at 3001 Riverside Park Drive, has been a cornerstone of the community's cultural scene, consistently bringing high-quality artistic experiences to the area. Museum Director, Emily Thompson, expressed her enthusiasm for the upcoming exhibit. "Mark Wygonik's art resonates deeply with the spirit of Vero Beach," Thompson stated. "His ability to translate the essence of our home onto canvas is truly remarkable, and we are thrilled to host this significant collection for our community to enjoy."

The exhibition is expected to draw art enthusiasts from across the Treasure Coast and beyond, providing a boost to local tourism and offering educational opportunities for students and aspiring artists. Special guided tours and artist talks are being planned in conjunction with the exhibit, details of which will be announced by the museum in the coming weeks.

The "Mark Wygonik: A Retrospective" exhibit will run through July 27, 2026. The Vero Beach Museum of Art is open Tuesday through Sunday. For specific hours of operation and admission information, residents are encouraged to visit the museum's website or call their main office.
