Making Decisions
Milton residents are reminded that several important decisions are on the horizon for various local bodies. Community members are encouraged to stay informed and participate in upcoming public meetings.
The Milton Town Council is expected to discuss the proposed budget for the next fiscal year at its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 16, at 7:00 PM in the historic Town Hall Council Chambers. This meeting will include opportunities for public comment on various line items affecting town services and infrastructure projects.
Additionally, the Milton School Board has scheduled a special session for Monday, April 15, at 6:30 PM in the Milton High School Auditorium to review potential adjustments to the school calendar for the 2026-2027 academic year. Parents and guardians are particularly encouraged to attend and share their perspectives.
The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 17, at 7:00 PM at the Milton Community Center in downtown Milton, where they will consider a zoning variance request for a property located at 14 Elm Street. Details of the request are available for public review at the Town Clerk's office during regular business hours.
These meetings represent key opportunities for Milton residents to engage directly with their local government and influence decisions that will shape the community. Agendas for all meetings are typically posted on the Town of Milton website and at the Town Hall bulletin board at least 48 hours in advance.
