Lighthouse Keeper Story Time Returns to Port Blossom Library
Lighthouse Keeper Story Time Returns to Port Blossom Library
Port Blossom Library is once again inviting young readers to embark on a nautical adventure with the return of its popular Lighthouse Keeper Story Time series. Starting next Tuesday, April 15, children aged 3-7 are encouraged to gather for tales of the sea, brave lighthouse keepers, and the mysteries of the ocean.
The weekly program, held every Tuesday morning at 10:30 AM in the library's children's wing, aims to foster a love for reading while connecting local youth with the rich maritime history of Lee County, including the guiding role of historic coastal lighthouses like those on Sanibel Island. Librarians will read a selection of engaging picture books, often incorporating interactive elements and songs related to the day's theme.
"Lighthouse Keeper Story Time has always been a favorite among our youngest patrons and their families," said Martha Jenkins, Children's Program Coordinator at Port Blossom Library. "It's a wonderful way to introduce them to the magic of storytelling and the important role lighthouses played in our coastal community."
Parents and guardians are reminded that space is limited, and early arrival is recommended. The program is free to attend and does not require pre-registration. For more information, residents can contact the Port Blossom Library directly during operating hours.
