Joel Embiid Inks $192.9 Million Extension with 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid signed a three-year, $192.9 million fully guaranteed extension in September 2024. The extension begins with the 2026-27 season and runs through the 2028-29 season. Embiid's contract includes a player option for the final year. Embiid's cap hit for the 2026-27 season will be $57,985,752. His salary increases to $62,624,612 in 2027-28 and $67,263,472 in 2028-29. As of 2026, Embiid's career earnings total $321,069,851, placing him 17th in NBA history. LeBron James leads all players with $581.3 million in career earnings. In the 2026-27 season, Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is projected to have the highest base salary at $62.5 million.
