Jefferson County Eyes Rezoning for 47-Home Development on S Iris Street

Jefferson County is considering a rezoning application that would allow developers to build 47 single-family homes on 22.8 acres near S Iris Street in the southwest suburbs.

The Dutch Creek Rezoning proposal (Case Number: 26-103768RZ) seeks to rezone two properties at 6859 S Iris Street from Agricultural-One (A-1) to Planned Development (PD). The site sits approximately 500 feet east of S Kipling Parkway, south of W Coal Mine Avenue and S Iris Street. Access would come from W Plymouth Avenue and S Iris Avenue.

Sara Homeyer manages the application. Residents can reach her at [email protected] for details. The county will post hearing dates on its Public Meetings page once they are scheduled.
