Englewood Residents to Vote on Proposed 2022 Budget

Englewood residents will have the opportunity to cast their votes on the proposed 2022 municipal budget this coming Tuesday, April 14, 2026. The budget, which outlines spending for the fiscal year that began January 1, 2022, has been a topic of discussion at recent City Council meetings.

Key areas of the proposed budget include allocations for infrastructure improvements along Main Street, the heart of Englewood's historic downtown, increased funding for the Englewood Public Library's children's programs, and a slight adjustment to property tax rates to cover rising operational costs for the Public Works Department. City Councilman Robert Jenkins emphasized the budget's focus on maintaining essential services while addressing community needs.

Voting will take place at the Englewood Community Center, located at 123 Elm Avenue, from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Residents are encouraged to review the full budget proposal, available on the city's official website or in print at the City Clerk's office during business hours, before heading to the polls.
