Englewood Library Announces New Digital Literacy Workshops
Englewood Public Library, located at 3100 South Indiana Avenue in Charlotte County, is set to launch a series of free digital literacy workshops beginning next Monday, April 14, 2026. These workshops aim to equip residents with essential computer and internet skills, a growing need in our coastal community.
The initiative, spearheaded by Library Director Ms. Eleanor Vance, will cover topics ranging from basic computer operation and email management to navigating online government services and identifying misinformation. "We've heard from many residents, particularly our seniors, about the challenges they face with technology," stated Ms. Vance during a recent library board meeting. "These workshops are designed to bridge that gap and ensure everyone in Englewood can confidently access the digital world."
Classes will be held every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the library's newly renovated computer lab on the second floor. Residents interested in attending can register at the front desk or call the library at (941) 474-BOOK (2665) during operating hours. Space is limited, and early registration is encouraged.
