Englewood Library Announces New Digital Literacy Workshops

Englewood Public Library, a cornerstone in Charlotte County's coastal community located at 3100 South Indiana Avenue, announced a new series of free digital literacy workshops designed to help residents navigate the modern digital landscape. The workshops, starting next Monday, April 14, 2026, will cover essential skills from basic computer operation to online safety and utilizing government services digitally.

Library Director Sarah Jenkins stated, "We recognize the growing need for digital proficiency in our community. These workshops aim to empower Englewood residents with the skills they need to access information, connect with loved ones, and participate fully in today's digital world."

The first session, "Introduction to Computers and the Internet," will be held in the library's main computer lab. Subsequent workshops will delve into topics such as email management, social media basics, and identifying online scams. All sessions are free and open to the public, but pre-registration is encouraged due to limited space. Residents can sign up at the library's front desk or by calling 941-555-1234 during operating hours.
