Easy Riders
Miami-Dade County residents are gearing up for the annual "Easy Riders" community bike ride, scheduled for this Saturday, April 12, 2026. The event, organized by the Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department, aims to promote healthy living and community engagement through a leisurely ride along some of the county's scenic trails.
The ride will kick off at 9:00 AM from the trailhead at Tropical Park, located at 7900 SW 40th Street in Miami's Westchester neighborhood. Participants will follow a designated 10-mile route that winds through portions of the Ludlam Trail and the Snapper Creek Trail, passing near the edges of Coral Gables and offering picturesque views and a family-friendly atmosphere. Registration is free and will begin at 8:00 AM on the day of the event. All ages and skill levels are welcome, and helmets are required for all riders.
Local resident Maria Rodriguez, a frequent user of the county's bike paths, expressed her enthusiasm. "It's a wonderful way to see our beautiful parks and trails, and to spend time outdoors with neighbors," she said. The event concludes with light refreshments and a raffle for local cycling gear at Tropical Park around noon. For more information, residents can contact the Miami-Dade Parks Department.
