Demonstration Gardens Installed at Franklin County Extension Office

Quincy residents interested in enhancing their gardening skills and knowledge now have a new local resource. The Franklin County Extension Office, located at 100 Extension Way just off Quincy's historic Main Street, recently completed the installation of new demonstration gardens.

These gardens are designed to showcase various planting techniques, drought-tolerant landscaping, native plant species, and sustainable gardening practices suitable for our Panhandle climate. The initiative aims to provide practical, hands-on examples for home gardeners, community groups, and students.

Visitors are encouraged to stop by during office hours to observe the gardens and learn more about the different plants and methods on display. The Extension Office plans to host workshops and educational events in the coming months, utilizing these new gardens as a living classroom. Details on upcoming events will be announced soon.
