Update: Citizen Assist Called for Crews Responding to Fire on 683 Island Way

Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department has dispatched an additional unit for a citizen assist at the structure fire located at 683 Island Way in Clearwater Beach, Florida. This brings the total number of responding units to two, according to emergency dispatch.

Crews were initially dispatched to the scene on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:41 PM. The initial dispatch included two units (E46, PD6).

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and anticipate possible road closures near 683 Island Way as emergency personnel work.
