Bay Harbor Islands Launches Citizenserve Portal for Seamless Online Construction Permit Applications and Inspections

Bay Harbor Islands has streamlined its construction permit application process with the launch of the Citizenserve Web Portal. Residents and contractors can now apply for all construction-related permits online, a move designed to simplify what was previously a more involved process.

The new online system allows users to complete permit applications, make credit card payments, upload necessary documents, and request inspections. Users can also review inspection results and access all their permits through the Citizenserve portal, providing a centralized hub for construction project management within the town.

For any exterior modification, the Town requires review and approval by the Town Planner or the Design Review Board. This includes additions, awnings, doors, driveways, fences, paint, signs, and windows. Residents planning such changes must secure these approvals before proceeding with their projects.

The Town of Bay Harbor Islands operates under the Florida Building Code 2017. All construction and modification projects must adhere to these established standards.
