Winter Weather Advisory Issued: Snow Expected, Travel Difficulties
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Monday at 6 AM MDT for several counties, with snow accumulation and difficult travel expected; slow down and use caution.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Eastern Glacier, Western Toole, Central Pondera, Eastern Toole, Liberty, Western and Central Chouteau County, and the Bears Paw Mountains and Southern Blaine. The advisory is effective immediately, October 11, at 10:29 AM MDT, and will remain in effect until Monday, October 12, at 6:00 AM MDT.
The National Weather Service in Great Falls, MT, warns of additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches across lower elevations, with up to 9 inches possible in mountainous areas. Travel could become difficult due to the snowfall. Gusty winds combined with wet, heavy snow may lead to downed tree branches and isolated power outages.
