Residents in the East Glacier Park Region, Northern High Plains, Southern Rocky Mountain Front, Southern High Plains, Upper Blackfoot and MacDonald Pass, and Gates of the Mountains should prepare for a Winter Storm Warning issued by the National Weather Service Great Falls MT. The warning is in effect from now until 6:00 AM MDT on Monday, October 12.

Heavy, wet snow is expected. Areas north of the US Hwy 2 corridor could see an additional 3 to 6 inches of snow, while areas south of US Hwy 2 corridor may experience 6 to 12 inches. Travel is expected to be very difficult. Gusty winds combined with the heavy snow could lead to downed tree branches and isolated power outages.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. For the latest road conditions, call 511.
