City of Mebane Seeks Bids for West Ten Road Waterline Project
The City of Mebane is soliciting bids for the West Ten Road Waterline Connector. Bid Documents may be obtained from Engineer’s webpage by downloading the documents from: https://www.awck.com/resources#PlanRoom The proposed work will consist of the installation of new water infrastructure along a portion of West Ten Road (SR #1144) Mebane, North Carolina. The primary work will include the following items and appurtenances: Installation of approximately 1,710 LF of 12” DIP Water Main, including 40 LF of Bore and Jack of SR 1144. Installation of 3 – 5 & 1/4” fire hydrants with associated gate valves. Connection of proposed waterlines to 12” waterline. Testing and Chlorination of the proposed water main. Stabilization of the work area to meet or exceed preconstruction conditions. Questions regarding the Bid Documents are to be emailed to Jon Pendergraph at [email protected]. A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday April 16th, 2026 at 106 E. Washington St., Mebane, North Carolina 27302, at the Mebane Municipal Building. Formal Bids will be received by the City of Mebane at 106 E. Washington St., Mebane, North Carolina 27302, at the Mebane Municipal Building (Glendel Stephenson Council Chambers) until 10:00 AM, Thursday April 30th , 2026, for the West Ten Road Waterline Connector. Prior to accessing files, participants will be required to accept Engineer’s Download Policy. The Policy requires that documents shall not be forwarded to other bidders; however, you will be permitted to forward to material suppliers to obtaining quotes and to subcontractors provided suppliers and subcontractors do not forward the documents to other bidders. If you prefer to receive a hard copy of the bid documents, please contact Connie Lavance at [email protected] or 336-226-5534 and we will forward you a set or you may come by and pick up a set. City of Mebane Seeks Proposals for Water Tank Maintenance Program
The City of Mebane is requesting Proposals from qualified firms for a Water Tank Asset Maintenance Program, which includes: engineering, professional management, cellular site management capability, inspection, rehabilitation, repairs, washouts, water stratification eliminations, safety devices, visual inspections, and coating of water storage tanks in the water distribution system. The Request for Proposals can be found at: RFP – Water Tank Asset Maintenance Program Any firm wishing to be considered for providing the services described for this project shall submit 3 sets of proposals. Send or deliver proposals to the following address on or before 2:00 PM ET on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in order to be considered. Proposals submitted after the deadline will be rejected. City of Mebane Seeks Bids for Storm Drainage Improvements
Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Mebane (Owner), at the Glendale Stephenson Municipal Building, 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, NC 27302 until 10:00 AM, Friday, May 22, 2026, for the Brown, London, and Jackson Streets Storm Drainage Improvements. At said place and time, all Bids that have been duly received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The proposed work consists of storm drainage repairs in various locations within the City of Mebane. The proposed work includes; installation of cast-in-place headwalls, installation of 18” and 48” storm pipe, rap-rap pads and other incidental work to improve storm drainage. All bids must be in accordance with the Bidding Documents on file at the office of Alley, Williams, Carmen & King, Inc., Post Office Box 1179 / 740 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27216-1179. MBE/WBE Business Participation provisions are included in the Bid Documents. Copies of Bidding Documents may be obtained from Engineer at the address indicated herein, or a digital set can be downloaded at the following web address: www.awck.com/resources/bidding-plans/ . Bidders must be duly licensed contractors in the State of North Carolina for the appropriate work which is being Bid. Each Bid shall be accompanied with a deposit of cash, CERTIFIED CHECK or Bid Bond on bank or trust company in an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the Bid Amount for each Bid submitted. Each Successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond as security for the faithful performance and the payment of all bids and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. A Pre-bid meeting will be held at the Glendale Stephenson Municipal Building, 106 E. Washington Street, Mebane, North Carolina 27302 at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, May 13, 2026. All bidders are encouraged to attend. Bidders may not withdraw a bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
