Seminole residents seeking new dining options will soon find them in neighboring Pinellas Park with the upcoming openings of Shake Shack and Dutch Bros Coffee drive-thru locations. The popular chains will occupy two new buildings on a 1.83-acre property at 6994 U.S. Highway 19 North, replacing a Walgreens that will be demolished.
Shake Shack will operate a 3,493-square-foot restaurant at the corner of 70th Avenue North and U.S. Highway 19 North. Across the street, Dutch Bros will open a 1,025-square-foot coffee shop. Both locations will feature two-lane drive-thrus to accommodate traffic along the highway.
The addition of drive-thrus marks a recent expansion for Shake Shack, a New York-based chain that began incorporating them in 2021. The company, which started as a hot dog cart in 2001, now has over 690 locations globally.
Dutch Bros Coffee, already known for its drive-thru model, will add to the area's quick-service offerings. The development is situated across from The Shoppes at Park Place and adjacent to a future EōS Fitness Center.
Specific opening dates for both establishments have not yet been announced.
